GAME 8 Update

We played the second half of the called off game from the previous week; we lost with a final score of 3-1.

This is the first loss of our season. Jose “Chiva” scored our only goal, unassisted; hopefully this will rally the guys now that they have tasted a loss.

No more Sunday Games for 6 weeks

The city is closing the grass fields for the next six weeks which means we will not have any more Sunday games for that period.

Any games we will play will be on Wednesdays and Fridays; please try to adjust your works schedules for the meantime.

Game 9: 5/6/2012 We Won 9 - 5

Key Note: Diego recorded his first hat-trick of the season with a penalty, a free kick, and a volley.

Jose “Chiva” scored our teams first goal, marking his third consecutive game with a goal; the pass came from Edgar V.

Our second goal came from Eloy A., off a great pass from Roger.

Edgar V. knocked in our third with a free kick from the right side.

Fabian, our new midfielder, then let lose a pass to Jose “Chiva” to record his second goal of the match and push the score to 4-3, in our favor.

The next goal was the best of the match. Jose “Chiva” barreled down the right side with the ball, entered the box, and sent a low cross that Roger then back-heeled to Eloy A. who hit the back of the net.

Afterward Diego took and converted a penalty kick, scored off a free kick, and after Baldo scored on a penalty kick, met Baldo’s cross to one-time it into the back of the goal, bringing our score total to 9 goals this game.

GAME 8 was called off at halftime due to lightning

We will see if the 2-1 score stands or if we can have a replay later in the future.

GAME 8: 6:20 PM 5/4/2012 Gateway Field 2

Game 7 4/29/2012: We tied 1 - 1

Our team has been depleted recently and what players we are able to field, some are dealing with nagging injuries. We conceded early but fought back to tie.

Patrick received the ball from Adrian, and from the left flank sent in a dropping 45 yard pass that fell into the path of Jose “Chiva”. He finished and became the 10th different scorer for the team this season.

Later in the game the opposing team was reduced to 10 men following a red carded challenge on Adrian that left marks on his left ankle. Even with an extra field player we could not score; however, we are still undefeated.

Game 7 4/29/2012

Field 1 at Rolling Hills Complex. Game starts at 10:50 A.M.

Game 6 - We Won 4-2

We are still undefeated.

Coming into game 6 of the season we were handicapped with only 10 players to start the game; at halftime, we were down to 9 players due to an injury.

We conceded a penalty early but thanks to Patrick, in his first game at striker after playing defense and midfield in the prior matches, the game was tied off a corner kick that was delivered by Edgar V.

The 2nd half started 1-1, but quickly went to 2-1 with a scrappy goal from Patrick. Followed up my two strikes from Eloy A., we held on and kept the other team down to one goal late in the game.

With no regular strikers, no regular goalies (Eloy played goalie, with no gloves), we were able to rough out a win and keep our perfect season going.
